Hamburger Steak and Gravy

When Paul gets to swing home in the evening for a quick shower and supper before he's out on the road again,  I can throw this in the oven, make some mashed potatoes and have a good 'stick to your ribs' meal.  He's good for another thousand....... literally!

Hamburger Steak and Gravy

1 1/2 lbs Ground beef (for 4 patties)
1/2 Cup Onion, chopped
1 Egg
1/4 Cup Bread Crumbs
1 T Garlic Salt
1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup, undiluted
1 Can Beefy Mushroom Soup, undiluted
1/2 Cup Milk
salt/pepper to taste

preheat oven to 350F

In a bowl mix burger, onion, egg, bread crumbs and garlic salt.  Press hamburger into 4 patties and place in casserole dish.
In another bowl combine the two soups, whisk to incorporate.  Pour soup over hamburger patties.
Bake covered for 30 minutes.  Take cover off and bake an additional 15 minutes.
Remove patties from baking dish and whisk the gravy, adding 1/2 cup milk, which makes the gravy.
Serve with noodles or mashed potatoes.

Make patties

Cover with soups

Take patties out and whisk gravy
